Our son, Jaiden is in need of another leg lengthening procedure. We are anxious about this round. He is currently 4 inches short on his left side. We are flying to Florida Feb. 23rd to meet with a specialist in limb lengthening. His name is Dr. Paley at Paley Institute. Our doctor feels that it would be a good idea to visit with a couple facilities that specialize in limb lengthening so that we can get maximum results. So, Stop #1 will be in West Palm Beach, Florida and then Stop #2 will be in Dallas, Texas to Scottish Rite Hospital.
Jaiden is such a strong boy with an amazing spirit. I can't imagine how much more he needs to go through. I keep telling myself that The Lord doesn't give us more than we can handle, but sometimes it feels like he's had more than his share of trials. You can read about his special story on our website. In order for us to be able to take him to one of these hospitals, we will need to raise money for the surgery and expenses. We will have to relocate our family for 4 months to one of these cities. I am planning to hold a scrapbook auction here on this blog to help with the all of the expenses.
