Make a Wish Party!

My sweet daughter turned 8 recently. I wanted to bring a little of the two together for her party. So, this is what I came up with. It was so much fun pulling the colors of gray, pink and white together. Happy 8th Birthday Sweetheart!!!!!

Jaidens Leg Surgery

Our son, Jaiden is in need of another leg lengthening procedure. We are anxious about this round. He is currently 4 inches short on his left side. We are flying to Florida Feb. 23rd to meet with a specialist in limb lengthening. His name is Dr. Paley at Paley Institute.  Our doctor feels that it would be a good idea to visit with a couple facilities that specialize in limb lengthening so that we can get maximum results. So, Stop #1 will be in West Palm Beach, Florida and then Stop #2 will be in Dallas, Texas to Scottish Rite Hospital.

Jaiden is such a strong boy with an amazing spirit. I can't imagine how much more he needs to go through. I keep telling myself that The Lord doesn't give us more than we can handle, but sometimes it feels like he's had more than his share of trials. You can read about his special story on our website. In order for us to be able to take him to one of these hospitals, we will need to raise money for the surgery and expenses. We will have to relocate our family for 4 months to one of these cities. I am planning to hold a scrapbook auction here on this blog to help with the all of the expenses.

Make your own Chevron Fabric

Three Scoops

Everyone knows I struggle with my little kiddos at Church. They are so energetic and rarely sit still. Our friends, Nancy and Jim told us that they use a system called Three Scoops. Basically, if the kids start to get rowdy, they quietly lean over and remind them to be still or they will lose a scoop of ice cream for dessert that night.

I was so excited when I stumbled on Three Scoops art work over at Brown Paper Packages. So, all I need to do is put this little baby together and I'm good to go..... Great minds think alike. You can go to her blog to get the ice cream printable.

A stunning staircase......

I have Oak all over my house. There is nothing wrong with Oak....... in fact is beautiful!!! But, lately I have been thinking about staining my stair rails and banister a dark brown stain. I've been so nervous to do it, but when I saw the before and after over at Centsational Girl...... I'm quickly changing my mind. Look how gorgeous it turned out!!!!! I love that she added moulding! Picture Tiles

I'm always looking for a fun way to add whimsy to my coffee table. I have a love of pictures. It doesn't matter what kind of photo, landscaping, water, beach..... I'm in love with photography. I especially love pictures of my kiddos and enjoy fun new ways to add photos around the house.

Cowgirl Bash!

My little cowgirl just turned 3! She is such a spit-fire and we had so much fun at her party. We had a prop station that I made mustaches and little hats and lips from my Silhouette. We rented a pony. Everything was pink, brown and white. It was so much fun! Here are a few photos! My friend Jamie took all the pictures.
